The North Broward Prep boys and girls track and field team competed against Somerset Academy Canyons on Friday during Senior Night.
The Eagles recognized 26 racers: Michael Bagot, Filippo Bara, Jacob Brezin, Alaysha Bruno, Gabriel Castillo, Savanna Clarke, Connor Clyatt, Christian Dohler, Shoshana Folic, Maximus Fuentes, Jordan Greenbaum, Victoria Hernandez, Lena Kalandjian, Morgan King, Justin Kranitz, Trieu Khoi Le, Rhyan Noe Louis, Jessica Ostrow, Emmanuelle Parafiniuk, Adren Roberts, Apolo Rodriguez, Mori Schacter, Brayden Schleifer, Elizabeth Shapshal, Mia Shytle as well as Team managers Emma Parlee and Jose Maria Suarez.
Deandre Desinor won the 100 and 200 meters for the boys, while Armando Suarez took first in the 800 meters. Hock, Rodriguez Bora, and Roberts won the 4 x 100 relay. Andre Roberts also won the high jump. Michael Bagot, Damisi Faluyi, Thomas Isbister, and Maximus Fuentes all finished second in their events, while Faluyi, Xavier Croke, Patrick McBrien, and Connor Clyatt also placed third.
For the girls, Victoria Hernandez won the 100 and 200 Meters. Aryanah Ahmad and Shytle placed first in a pair of races, with Nino Sanguino winning the long and triple jump. In the 4 x 100 relay, Leah Forudi, Hernandez, Lena Kalandjian, and Bertine Esterlin won with 51.18. Alana Amsterdam also had a strong day with two second and third-place finishes.
Leah Forudi, Hernandez, Kalandjian, and Esterlin came in second in events, while Alanna Amsterdam, Shoshana Folic, Maria Kazimirov, and Bella Fernandez placed third.
NBP most recently competed in the Pine Crest Invitational and came in fourth.
