Monarch High School Quarterback Mason Hall Makes College Pick

Monarch High School quarterback Mason Hall has officially announced his commitment to Tufts University, giving the Knights another college-bound senior ahead of the 2026 football season.

“It feels awesome to make my commitment,” Hall said. “Not only is it really exciting to have found a place where I can play football while getting a top-tier education, but it is also a huge stress reliever not having to worry about my recruiting anymore.”

Hall began his high school career at Monarch as a freshman, then attended Coral Glades High School and Somerset Academy. He now returns to the Knights for his senior season after an impressive junior campaign in which he threw for 745 yards and five touchdowns in limited action.

Before high school, Hall developed his game in youth football with the Boca Braves and, most notably, the Parkland Rangers.

For Hall, the decision to commit to Tufts came down to the combination of outstanding academics and the relationships he built with the coaching staff.

“Tufts felt like a school that would not only be excellent from an education standpoint, but great for football as well, as I felt the connection I had with the coaching staff at Tufts was far beyond those of other schools recruiting me,” Hall added.

With one season remaining before beginning his college career, Hall is focused on continuing to improve both physically and mentally. He plans to get stronger to prepare for the college game while becoming even more fundamentally sound at quarterback. Off the field, he hopes to sharpen his time management and organizational skills.

Hall’s biggest goal, however, is helping Monarch build on its recent success. The Knights will be looking to capture a fifth consecutive district championship and make a run at the state championship after winning 7 games last season, including a playoff victory over Doral Academy.

Hall becomes the second member of Monarch’s senior class to announce a college commitment, joining wide receiver Sanjae Fisher, who committed to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Monarch is scheduled to open its season on Aug. 13 against Spanish River Community High School.
