Margate Man Arrested After Alleged Lewd Behavior Toward Hospital Employee

A Margate man was arrested after allegedly masturbating and making sexual comments toward an employee at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital, police say.

According to Margate Police Department arrest records, officers arrested Storm Octavious Tillman, 37, on October 7 after officers responded to HCA Florida Northwest Hospital at about 2:00 a.m. after an employee told investigators she was sitting outside an examination room when Tillman, who was lying in a hospital bed, began grunting and making sexual comments about her appearance. He allegedly told the woman he wanted to take her home.

According to the affidavit, the employee initially attempted to ignore Tillman by looking down at her phone. However, after hearing additional grunting, she looked up and allegedly saw him masturbating beneath a hospital blanket while staring into her eyes and laughing.

The woman told police she could see the outline of Tillman’s genitals pressing against the blanket as his hands moved up and down in the area. She said Tillman then turned sideways and continued the behavior before getting up and walking into a nearby bathroom.

While Tillman was inside the bathroom, the employee reported hearing moaning sounds, followed by a toilet flushing and water running from the sink.

The woman told investigators she felt disgusted by the encounter and deliberately avoided Tillman afterward. She immediately notified the hospital’s charge nurse.

Police took Tillman into custody and transported him to the Broward County Main Jail. His bond was listed at $150.
