North Broward Prep Girls Soccer. {NBP Athletics}

North Broward Prep wrapped up a busy week of sports with their basketball, soccer, and hockey teams.
The girls basketball team fell in their first game against Cypress Bay High School 70-54. While they made it to the Regional Final, they had their leading scorer, Riley Weiss, graduate. They still return a strong team featuring Sammy Edelson, Gemma Clouse, Naomi Day, Makena Longo, Marissa Krumholz, Ysa Pimentel, Saleyah Turner, Alexa Schwartz, Ana Abelleira, Capri Bossola, and Justina Zhou.
The boys basketball team moved to 3-0 following a 67-47 win against Blanche Ely High School. It is the second time in the last three years that the Eagles have won three straight. Next, the boys team will play Norland High School on Saturday, December 2, at 8:45 p.m., while both teams are set to play Schoolhouse Prep on Monday, December 4, starting at 5:30 p.m.
The girls soccer team continues to roll, winning their fourth straight game to start the season on November 29 against Cardinal Gibbons High School. Madelyn Kunz scored the lone goal on an assist from Kaiden O’Neil.
Through their first four games, NBP has beaten FAU High School, Calvary Christian Academy, Cooper City, and Cardinal Gibbons and has outscored their opponents 19-0. It is also the first time since 2017 that NBP has won their first four games.
“After graduating some key players from last year’s team, I was unsure of how this group would react, but I am very proud of my returning players for stepping up, and with the addition of a great group of freshman players, we have a bright future ahead of us,” Head Coach Trcia Amrhein said.
The boys soccer team still has yet to lose this season but tied for the first time on Tuesday against Cardinal Gibbons. The Eagles previously beat FAU High, Calvary Christian before picking up a 2-1 win on Friday against Oxbridge Academy. Next, both teams are set to play Pine Crest on Monday, December 4. The girls will play at 4:30, while the boys are scheduled for 6 p.m.
The hockey team also defeated Marjory Stoneman Douglas 6-0 for the second time this season.
