National Night Out Brings Helicopter Demo, K-9 Show to Margate

Margate Prepares for Big National Night Out Event

National Night Out, one of Margate’s largest community events, is scheduled for the evening of August 4.

The city is planning to offer many of the same attractions as in previous years, including carnival-style rides and bounce houses. In addition, there will be a K-9 presentation by the Margate police department, and officers will be available to meet with residents.

Free hot dogs, drinks, and ice cream will also be available, and live entertainment will be provided by the band Project X, according to city information.

In addition, Margate Fire Rescue and the Broward Sheriff’s Office will have a fire rescue demonstration using one of BSO’s helicopters. Representatives from various state and federal law enforcement agencies will also be present, according to city information.

Night Out will go from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Sports Complex at 1695 Banks Road.
