Sophomore wide receiver Jabari Brady of the Monarch High School football team was officially named a Preseason All-American before the 2023-24 season.
This award is given to the most outstanding U.S. athletes in a specific sport competing at the collegiate and secondary school levels in a given year.
“Hard work always will pay off, Brady said. “We should be pretty good this year. We are all working day in and day out through practice and outside-of-school practice workouts. I believe if we learn from our mistakes last year, we can take that and help us succeed and go win a State Championship.”
Brady, who already has offers to play college football at several power five schools, had a historic freshman year with the Knights with 43 catches, 864 yards, and six touchdowns. Monarch finished the season with an 8-2 to win their second District Championship in school history before Boca Raton Community High School in their first playoff game.
Monarch will play their first game of the 2023 season on Thursday, August 24, against Cedar Grove High School before their home opener on September 1 against Atlantic Community High School.
