The Monarch soccer teams closed the 2024 season with impressive wins and a senior night for the girls.
The girls team won 7-0 and improved to 6-4-2 this year. Kearstin Iadarola recorded three goals, while Daniella Abadir scored twice, and Dalilah Alvarado-Nater and Kaitlyn Deal had one.
They also recognized their seniors earlier this month during a 3-1 win against Deerfield Beach High School. Iadarola had two more goals, while Alvarado-Nater added one more while recognizing Camryn Piskun, Samantha Dean, Eva Bedell, Kaitlyn Deal, Natalie Abiri, Iadarola, and Ariana Arce.
The boys team won 1-0 to record their sixth win of the season on a goal from Luca Lopez, while Odair Possu made five net saves to post a shutout. They will recognize their seniors on January 9 against Coconut Creek High School at 4 p.m. The wrestling team continued their season with matches against Deerfield Beach and West Broward High School. The Knights beat Deerfield Beach 49-36 but fell against West Broward 46-36. However, Monarch had two female wrestlers go 2-0 with Rosie Klein and Megan Han. They will be back in action in the new year, looking to improve before the postseason.
