Inspectors ordered Bagel Time Cafe to close after finding live roaches in the kitchen and other sanitation violations.
According to an inspection report, inspectors conducted a standard health and food inspection of Bagel Time Cafe, located at 2478 North State Road 7, on October 19. Records show that during the inspection, an inspector observed live roaches between a dish machine and a wall and beneath a flat-top grill.
The report also documented approximately 10 dead roaches between fryers on the cookline, stuck to oil on the floor.
Other findings included visibly soiled air-conditioning vents and returns, as well as turkey bacon stored uncovered in a reach-in freezer.
Bagel Time Cafe must pass a follow-up inspection before reopening.
