D’yon Christian Harding {BSO}
A man is facing felony charges after what police describe as a road rage incident in which he pulled a gun on a woman with a baby in her vehicle.
According to a Margate Police Department report, officers arrested D’yon Christian Harding, 26, of Tamarac, on September 6 following a confrontation near West Atlantic Boulevard and Banks Road.
The victim told investigators she was driving with her 5-month-old child when Harding’s vehicle cut in front of her car from the left turn lane. She said she honked her horn and attempted to drive around him to avoid further conflict. Harding, she said, responded by yelling at her through his closed window.
The victim admitted that her role in the confrontation was that she rolled her window up and shouted “bye!” as she continued driving, later adding that at one point she told Harding to “go suck his mother.”
According to the victim, in response, Harding pulled alongside her, took out a black handgun, raised it out of the window, and said, “You better be careful in these streets or you’re going to get hurt.”
After the report, police issued a be-on-the-lookout alert for Harding’s vehicle. Officers located him as he returned to his apartment complex on Azalea Court in Tamarac. A search of his car revealed a Glock 43x pistol was found between the driver’s seat and the center console.
Harding admitted to officers that he had been involved in the altercation but denied ever pointing the firearm.
Harding was taken into custody and booked into the Broward Main Jail on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. Court records show he was later released after posting a $10,000 bond.
