Calypso Cove in Margate {City of Margate}
The long wait for new water slide tubes in the children’s playground at Calypso Cove is almost over.
The City of Margate Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a special event at Calypso Cove on Saturday, March 15th, to showcase the new amenities.
From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., residents will be among the first to experience the new tipping bucket, water guns and park upgrades. There will be live music, a photo booth, a character artist and a fun social event, according to J.R. VanWassenhove, spokesperson for Margate.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-17. Children under 5 can attend for free. The admission fee includes dinner and dessert.
Residents who want to attend this event must register at margatefl.com/register, The park is located at 6200 Royal Palm Boulevard.
The water park’s opening was delayed because a fire in the parking lot in June 2024 destroyed the slide equipment that was about to be installed.
