Calypso Cove in Margate {City of Margate}
Margate families are invited to dive into safety at the Sun and Safety Splash on June 6.
The City of Margate is set to host its annual free water safety community event in partnership with Margate Police and Fire Departments, Parks and Recreation, and water safety organizations across Broward County.
The Sun and Safety event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Calypso Cove, located at 6200 Royal Palm Boulevard. Attendance is free to the public.
The event focuses on water safety, featuring live CPR and rescue demonstrations, life vest fittings, boat entry and exit technique training, and essential lessons on dialing 911, throw-rescue techniques, sun safety, and the role of Water Watchers in preventing drowning incidents.
While the slides at Calypso Cove will not be open, guests can still enjoy event activities, explore exhibits from water safety sponsors, and take home fun giveaways.
Concessions will be available for purchase.
