Smoothie King Margate celebrated its grand opening with a party for the community and local businesses that offer fitness programs on July 12.
Those who came enjoyed a social event with music and a DJ. Health and fitness are a theme of the store, which offers smoothies that cater to individuals who want to improve their overall health.
“Our bestselling smoothie is angel food, which is sweet, but we offer the Hulk smoothie for people who want to bulk up, and lean, slim, and trim for people who are working on fitness,” said Sam Homicil, who owns Smoothie King Margate with Danny Aybar. “We’re committed to blending a more nutritious smoothie with whole fruits and organic veggies, and removing artificial ingredients.”
They opened their store in Margate because they saw a need for a fitness-oriented restaurant in the city, according to Homicil.
In addition to a fun social event, people could meet athletic trainers such as Cavarri Morss of Top Notch Elite Training, a gym that helps young athletes prepare for competitive athletics, and Alex Peoples of YouFit Gyms, who provides general fitness programs.
Smoothie King Margate is located at 5412 West Atlantic Boulevard. Business hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
