The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between August 4 and August 10, 2026.
Incidents
Elderly Abuse/Neglect
Police investigated a report of elderly abuse or neglect involving a 75-year-old woman on State Road 7 on Aug. 3. The incident was reported Aug. 4.
Another elderly abuse or neglect case involving a 71-year-old man was reported at 5951 Colonial Drive on Aug. 5.
Police investigated another elderly abuse or neglect case involving a 54-year-old woman on Northwest 5th Court on Aug. 10.
Stalking
A 35-year-old woman reported being the victim of stalking in the Lake Circle Drive area. The incident was reported Aug. 5.
Retail Theft
Walmart at 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd. reported an attempted retail theft at approximately 8:05 p.m. Aug. 5.
The same Walmart reported a separate retail theft that occurred Aug. 2, with an estimated loss of $6,323.
Aggravated Battery
A 59-year-old man was the victim of an aggravated battery on Holiday Springs Boulevard at approximately 8:45 p.m. Aug. 5.
Burglary
A vehicle burglary was reported on Banks Road at approximately 10:25 a.m. Aug. 6. The estimated loss was listed as $1.
Fraud
A 45-year-old woman reported a fraud incident on Northwest 12th Street on Aug. 7. The estimated loss was $193.
Aggravated Assault
A 41-year-old man was the victim of an aggravated assault on Northwest 1st Street at approximately 1:33 p.m. Aug. 7.
Theft
A 37-year-old man reported a theft on Margate Boulevard. Police said the incident occurred between Nov. 2, 2025, and July 15, 2026, with an estimated loss of $879.
A 31-year-old woman reported a theft on Southwest 1st Street on Aug. 9. The estimated loss was $65.
DUI
Police investigated a DUI incident at 600 SW 63rd Terrace shortly after midnight Aug. 9.
Trespassing
Publix at 7230 W. Atlantic Blvd. reported a trespassing incident at approximately 5:40 p.m. Aug. 9.
Arrests
Ruben Altidor, 36, was arrested Aug. 5 on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon involving domestic violence.
Darrious Leonard White, 43, was arrested Aug. 5 on a petit theft charge involving property valued between $100 and $750.
Rodrigo Luis Cortez, 37, was arrested Aug. 5 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
Jermaine Hugh Hudson, 44, was arrested Aug. 7 on a felony charge listed by police as a homicide-related offense involving an act that could cause death.
Zaria Brookes, 18, was arrested Aug. 8 on a charge of resisting an officer without violence.
Stanley Mesidor, 18, was arrested Aug. 8 on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
Collins Chevry, 40, was arrested Aug. 9 on a charge of DUI involving alcohol or drugs.
Douglas Aaron Giles, 66, was arrested Aug. 9 on a charge of battery causing bodily harm.
Tyler Aaron Farmer, 39, was arrested Aug. 9 on a charge of trespassing after allegedly failing to leave property at 7230 W. Atlantic Blvd. after being ordered to do so.
Wilhem Marc, 38, was arrested Aug. 9 on a felony criminal mischief charge involving $1,000 or more in property damage.
Elisa Wendy Rose, 68, was arrested Aug. 10 on a charge of DUI involving alcohol or drugs.
