Eleven-year-old Vincent Curro is no stranger to tough battles.
Diagnosed with T-cell leukemia in December 2024, the Margate resident has been undergoing treatment at Broward Health’s pediatric hematology-oncology clinic.
But during a recent routine appointment, Vincent received an unforgettable boost to his spirits — a signed jersey from one of his favorite Florida Panthers players, goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky.
The heartwarming surprise comes just weeks after Vincent had the chance to attend a Panthers game, meet some of the players, and soak in the excitement of being at the arena.
A longtime fan of the team, Vincent has drawn strength and joy from following the Panthers through their season, with Bobrovsky standing out as one of his personal heroes.
According to Broward Health, for Vincent, this surprise is more than just a signed jersey. It’s a reminder that, even in the toughest of times, there are moments of joy and hope.
