Atlantic West Elementary Welcomes Germaine Odom as New Assistant Principal

Germaine Odom is the new assistant principal at Atlantic West Elementary {David Volz}

Germaine Odom is excited about his new role as assistant principal at Atlantic West Elementary School.

He comes from Pompano Beach Elementary School, where he served as an assistant principal. Before becoming an administrator, he was a teacher at Pinewood Elementary School in North Lauderdale. He is now working under the leadership of Principal Shereen Reynolds.

“My focus is on providing a high-quality education for all our students, and I want to support student growth,” said Odom.

Engaging the local community is also important. “It is important that Atlantic West has strong collaboration and communication with local families and community partners,” he said.

Odom is considered an intern principal. This means he has completed the necessary education leadership training and is eligible to serve as a principal. “I hope to become a school principal in a few years,” he said.
