A Margate man was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary after police said he broke into a home and only stole shaving razor blades.
According to a Margate Police Department arrest report, McHenry Joseph, 40, was arrested on August 14 after an officer responded to a residence near the 6900 block of Northwest 6th Court in connection with a reported burglary and trespassing incident.
The victim told police Joseph entered the home without permission and stole several shaving razor blades. The victim also told officers that Joseph had previously been notified that he was not permitted to return to the property and had trespassed and been evicted from the residence.
While the officer was at the home, Joseph allegedly exited the property and was taken into custody without incident.
Joseph allegedly admitted to breaking into the residence and stealing the razor blades. Police said he also acknowledged that he knew he was not allowed to return to the property and that he had previously trespassed.
