Fire broke out in a Margate home Thursday and caused the roof of the residence to collapse, authorities said. No one was hurt.
The Margate Fire Department responded to a call about the fire around 2:18 p.m. at the single-family home fire in the 300 block of Southwest 69th Avenue, according to Margate city officials.
The home’s roof collapsed and the structure was no longer habitable Thursday, officials said. The blaze was confined to the home.
The Margate Fire Department received help with their firefighting efforts from the North Lauderdale, Coral Springs, and Coconut Creek Fire Departments.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
