Firefighters were working to extinguish an apartment fire in Margate, authorities said.
Margate Fire Rescue and Coconut Creek Fire Rescue firefighters were at the scene of the blaze at the Avalon Toscana apartment complex, 3050 Toscana Ln., around 1 p.m.
Dozens of tenants were outside their apartments watching the firefighter’s efforts, which required pumping water from a nearby emergency hydrant.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was hurt.
