Margate Man Accused of Nearly Biting Off Woman’s Finger During Violent Domestic Assault

A Margate man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he nearly bit off a woman’s finger during a violent domestic dispute.

According to a Margate Police Department arrest report, officers responded to a 911 call on February 4, indicating a woman required medical attention following a fight with a man, later identified as Ryan Adrian, 47, that began arguing over the woman’s work.

Deputies said the argument allegedly stemmed from the victim spending too much time on her computer and not spending enough time with Adrian. The victim told officers that Adrian blocked her from leaving a bedroom and repeatedly prevented her from exiting despite multiple attempts to escape

The report states that as the woman tried to flee through the garage, Adrian allegedly grabbed her legs, forced her onto the bed, and wrapped a hand around her neck, choking her for over a minute to the point she felt herself close to losing consciousness while struggling to break free.

During the assault, Adrian allegedly bit down hard on one of the woman’s fingers, causing a deep laceration and disfigurement. Officers noted visible injuries, including red marks on her neck, a bloody and disfigured finger, scratches near her ear, and complaints of arm pain.

The woman was transported to a hospital by Fire Rescue for further medical evaluation

Adrian was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where he is currently held without bond.
