Doc Reno’s Bacon, Beer & BBQ Fest Returns to Margate

Crazy Talk is just one of the performers at this year’s Bacon, Beer & BBQ Fest {Crazy Talk}

Bacon, barbecue and live music will take center stage when Doc Reno’s ninth annual Bacon, Beer & BBQ Fest returns to Margate in September.

The free, family-friendly event will be held Sunday, Sept. 6, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, 1695 Banks Road.

Local restaurants and food trucks will compete for the titles of “Best Bacon” and “Best BBQ” in South Florida. Attendees will also have an opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice winner.

The entertainment lineup includes Crazy Talk, Juanabe, Southern Stampede, DJ TaeRock, School of Rock and other emerging performers.

The festival will also feature children’s activities, artisan vendors, a silent auction and a variety of food and beverage options. Parking is free, and pets are welcome. The event will be held under a covered venue.

Proceeds benefit the My Family Matters Foundation, which provides financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. The organization helps cover expenses not typically paid by insurance, including travel, lodging and daily living costs.
