Old friends and new neighbors all gathered at the cul-de-sac at White Oak Drive on April 10th for the first ever Section Three block party.
The turnout was impressive with 42 neighbors, almost the entire section, getting together with a pot-luck style party where live steel drum music was provided for entertainment. Everyone brought their favorite sides, salads and desserts to accompany the barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs grilled by the section’s finest chefs. While residents gathered at balloon festooned tables beneath shady tents and trees, the neighborhood children kept themselves entertained by jumping on the trampoline, playing rope games and participating in the breaking of the official “Block Party Pinata.”
The block party was so much fun that Section three residents are looking forward to the next block party. [nggallery id=14 template=galleryview images=0]
