“Sing 2,” the sequel to 2016’s “Sing,” is January’s free movie in the park hosted by the City of Margate.
A 2021 computer-animated jukebox musical comedy, Sing 2’s star-studded cast features Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, and more.
The film continues the tale of Buster Moon, a koala who went from a struggling theater owner in the first film to thriving in his newly rebuilt theater. Buster has bigger aspirations, as he strives to make it in a nearby city after being told he wasn’t good enough by a talent scout.
Held on Saturday, January 21 at 6 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, located at 1695 Banks Road, the movie is free. The city recommends bringing blankets or lawn chairs to sit on and something to snack on while watching.
