Road Rage: Man Accused of Pointing Suppressor Handgun; Arrest Reveals Hidden Handcuff Key

A Margate man is facing felony charges after police say he pointed a handgun at a woman during a road rage encounter, and following his arrest, he was found to have concealed a handcuff key.

According to a Margate Police Department report, Sin Valentine, 36, was arrested on September 22 after officers responded to a report of an aggravated assault with a firearm in the Coral Bay community.

The victim told police she was driving into the back entrance of the gated neighborhood when Valentine’s car sped around her vehicle. After honking her horn, she said Valentine cut her off multiple times before pulling over, getting out of his car, and pointing a black handgun at her. The victim said the weapon appeared to have a suppressor attached.

Officers later traced the car to Valentine and located his residence. Upon arrival at his home, records show he matched the description given by the victim, who later identified him in a show-up lineup.

A search of his car revealed an empty holster and a loaded pistol magazine. In contrast, a further search of his bedroom uncovered a handgun with an attachment resembling a suppressor that matched the victim’s description.

Upon his arrest, Valentine was also reported to have had a concealed handcuff key on his keychain, leading to an additional charge.

Valentine was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where he remains without bond.
