Lost Dog Needs to Find New Owners

The schnauzer wants to come home but his owners won’t let him come back.

It’s no fault of a gentle schnauzer dog that he keeps getting lost and winding up at his neighbors’ doorsteps. His owners have been repeatedly asked to get him a collar with identification after having a “Lost Pet” alert sent out about him through email or on Facebook.

Having identification may help find the dog, but it doesn’t excuse these neighbors from letting their dog roam our streets.

Back in April, this website reunited the lost schnauzer when he was found wandering around Section Seven. After his owners, who rent a home 5613 S Travelers Palm Lane were found, they were asked to put a collar and identification on him. Just days later our Facebook page received a message from a resident who found the dog – and still had no identification on him . Since then, he is still being found wandering the streets, then reunited with the owners who haven’t seemed too eager to find him.

Perhaps they don’t even want him.

Thankfully we have so many great neighbors that helped out this sweet little schnauzer here in the Woodlands

This shameful negligence has a few neighbors on Coco Palm Drive and South Travelers Palm Lane angry. Section Seven resident Gilles Boudreau said that while knocking on the owner’s door to bring the dog home, the owners were home inside and ignored him.

“My daughters and I brought the dog back to their home again and the dog was standing by the door whimpering to get inside while the owners, who were at home, looked outside and ignored us,” said Boudreau.

Fortunately, he found a neighbor nearby who took the dog to her home temporarily and is trying to find him a new home. Boudreau says she is looking for a no-kill shelter for him. He says the dog is very sweet and very loving.

“The people that are renting that home didn’t even have the decency to come outside and talk with me. They sent their kids outside later. There must be three or four families living in that rental and their excuse was that the dog keeps getting out. That’s a lousy excuse, ” said Boudreau.

“I told them that someone was taking care of their dog and that it could go to a shelter in 24 hours, and it didn’t even faze them.”

Thank you for all of our great neighbors in Section Seven that are looking out for the welfare of this dog.   You have done your best to make sure he found his way home.
