Ashley Terron, an eighth-grade student at Margate Middle School, was honored as Student of the Month at her school during the November 5 commission meeting for her achievements.
She is president of the Student Government Association and has a 3.7 grade point average.
“I like to help people, and we organized a Harvest Drive program at our school. We are planning pep rallies to encourage school spirit,” she said.
Next year, Ashley plans to attend Atlantic Technical College and High School. She enjoys studying English.
Her parents, Daniel and Sonya Terron, attended the ceremony. “We are so excited about her accomplishments. She is doing very well,” said Daniel.
