A Margate man is facing child exploitation charges after authorities say an online storage service flagged him for uploading dozens of illegal images containing child pornography and bestiality.
According to an arrest report from the Margate Police Department, an investigation into Anthony William Serralles, 23, began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted authorities that Dropbox had flagged his account for uploading 36 images depicting the sexual abuse of children. Police note that the uploads occurred in March 2024 and January 2025.
Records show detectives obtained a search warrant and discovered the flagged files along with material depicting bestiality and “numerous videos of (himself) engaging in sexual acts,” the report states.
Following their investigation, Margate police and the Broward Sheriff’s Office served the warrant at Serralles’ home near the 7500 block of Parkside Lane. He was arrested a short time later at the Coral Palm Plaza shopping center near University Drive and Royal Palm Boulevard.
Investigators say Serralles confessed to the crimes. Multiple electronic devices were seized for further examination.
Serralles was arrested and transported to the Broward Main Jail, where he is currently held on a $17,500 bond.
