The Broward Center for the Performing Arts invites the community to its free annual open house on Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center, located at 201 SW Fifth Ave in Fort Lauderdale.
The event offers visitors the chance to tour the education center, observe or take part in sample classes, meet teaching artists, join Broadway Karaoke, win prizes, and enjoy family activities and light refreshments. First-time students who register in person during the open house will receive a 10% discount.
The Broward Center offers singing, dance, improv, and acting classes for children, teens, and adults in a supportive setting. Special programs are also available for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Students have opportunities to audition for shows or represent the Broward Center at community performances.
Fall classes begin Tuesday, Sept. 2, with most running for 10 weeks. Class sizes are limited and grouped by age and skill level. All fees include complimentary parking. Students who register for more than one class can receive a 10% discount on additional courses.
Class schedules and open house details are available at BrowardCenter.org/Classes. Guests are encouraged to RSVP in advance online, by email at registrar@browardcenter.org, or by calling 954-468-2689.
Need-based scholarships are available through the Ronald Plotkin Scholarship Fund and the David Kilmnick & Robert Vitelli Scholarship Fund.
The Broward Center’s 2025-26 season is supported by the Broward Performing Arts Foundation, AutoNation, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, Spirit, and Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
