
Margate Police {Aiden Palmer}
The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between February 3 and 9, 2026.
Incidents
Burglary — 2699 N. State Road 7
A 2024 Ford Transit 350 van was burglarized after surveillance video captured a male suspect entering the vehicle late on Jan. 26, activating the headlights, and later smashing the windshield while inside. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot toward State Road 7 early Jan. 27. Police identified the suspect as Michael Anthony Whitfield and completed a notice to identify and capture.
• Domestic Battery — 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd.
Officers observed a man physically battering a victim in a parking lot. The suspect fled prior to police contact. A notice to identify and capture was filed.
• Battery — 6521 NW 1st St.
Two roommates became involved in a physical altercation. The victim declined to pursue charges.
• Criminal Mischief — 6500 W. Atlantic Blvd.
A suspect threw a rock at a vehicle window, causing damage but not shattering the glass, before fleeing the area on an e-bike. Investigators believe the suspect may be linked to another criminal mischief incident in the same area but could not confirm because the suspect was hospitalized after a separate crash.
• Burglary Conveyance — Ivory Chapters, 5605 NW 8th St.
A victim reported her unlocked Toyota Camry was entered by a suspect who remained inside for approximately nine minutes before exiting wearing the victim’s red Nike sneakers and leaving his own shoes behind. Surveillance footage captured the incident.
Arrests
• Driving While License Suspended (DWLS) — 7000 Royal Palm Blvd.
Jacqueline Pachon, 43, was arrested following a vehicle crash investigation.
• Warrant Arrest — 400 NW 65th Ave.
Jerome Williams, 31, was arrested after officers located him smoking suspected cannabis and confirmed an active warrant.
• Domestic Violence Battery — SW 11th Street residence
Donesha Pellot, 25, was arrested after throwing a candle that struck the victim and forcibly removing headphones from the victim.
• Domestic Battery Arrest — SW 2nd Street residence
Brian Clark, 18, was arrested after allegedly battering and pepper-spraying the victim. He was transported to the Broward County Jail.
• Aggravated Domestic Battery & False Imprisonment — NW 79th Terrace residence
Ryan Adrien, 47, was arrested after allegedly choking and battering a long-term partner, threatening self-harm, and attempting to flee on an ATV before officers deployed a Taser and took him into custody.
• Trespass After Warning — 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd.
Naomi Keiner, 55, was arrested.
• Warrant Arrest via Traffic Stop — Copans Road and Banks Road
Amanda Mengual, 23, was arrested on outstanding traffic warrants.
• Possession of Methamphetamine / DWLS — 1300 N. State Road 7
David Uribarre, 35, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Courtney Miller, 40, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
• Domestic Battery Arrest — Banks Road residence
Kwaynesha Spencer, 26, was arrested after battering a person who intervened in an argument. She was transported for medical clearance prior to jail intake.
• Domestic Battery Arrest — NW 64th Terrace residence
Maurice Walker, 26, was arrested after grabbing the victim’s phone, throwing it, and pushing the victim multiple times.
• Resisting Officer / Driving Without License — 400 S. State Road 7
A traffic stop led to a vehicle fleeing before officers located the vehicle after occupants bailed out. Three juveniles were detained, with one later released to a guardian. Charges include resisting without violence and driving without a license.
• Retail Theft Arrest — Walmart, 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd.
Jorge Gil was arrested for retail theft.
• Criminal Mischief Arrest — 6600 W. Atlantic Blvd.
Robert Lino, 45, allegedly damaged a vehicle after colliding with it while riding an e-bike against traffic.
• Traffic Arrest — Southgate Boulevard and S. State Road 7
Kevin Perdomo-Rodriguez, 25, was arrested after causing a crash with injuries while driving without a license. He was later transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody.
• DUI Arrest — 200 Rock Island Road
Emilee Sandoval, 35, was arrested for driving under the influence.
• Warrant Arrest — 7800 Royal Palm Blvd.
Kevin Leon Willis Jr., 31, was arrested following a single-vehicle crash after officers confirmed an outstanding warrant.
• Resisting Officer Without Violence — S. Lakewood Circle residence
K’Tima Se Bone Thomas, 33, was arrested after taking a fighting stance and refusing officer commands during a disturbance call, leading to Taser deployment and hospitalization.
