Anna and Meechi at the Humane Society Broward County.
Two adorable pets at the Humane Society of Broward County are patiently waiting for a second chance at love—and they might be the perfect addition to your family.
Meet Anna
Anna (ID 672201) is a gorgeous 2-year-old husky mix with a heart as big as her playful energy. Originally adopted as a pup, Anna was sadly returned to the shelter after her owner could no longer care for her. Though a bit shy in the shelter environment, Anna lights up when she meets new people and especially when she’s around other dogs—playtime is one of her favorite things!
This active gal thrives on daily walks (three a day if you’re up for it!), enjoys toys, and adores bath time. She’s also crate-trained, making her transition to a new home even easier. Anna hasn’t lived with cats before, so it’s unknown how she’d do with a feline friend.
Meet Meechi
Meechi (ID 698608) is a charming 3-year-old cat whose life turned upside down when his owner had to move out of the country. Now, this affectionate and observant kitty is hoping someone will open their heart to him. Meechi loves to sit in the window and watch the world go by—birds, bugs, and lizards are his favorite entertainment.
He’s also a talker, especially when mealtime rolls around or when he’s saying hello. Meechi might just be your ideal lap cat. He does have a heart murmur, but chest X-rays show clear lungs and a heart size at the high end of normal. He shows no symptoms and is living life just like any other playful feline. To help him find the loving home he deserves, J.R. Dunn Jewelers has covered Meechi’s adoption fee.
