Scarecrows, costumes, and candy will take center stage as Margate hosts two fall events in October.
Fall Festival
The city’s annual Fall Festival will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Margate Sports Complex, 1695 Banks Road.
Visitors can make a full-size scarecrow to take home and enjoy pony rides, bounce houses and a haunted house. The festival will also feature a costume contest for all ages and a judging contest for pumpkins carved before the event.
Admission is free, and food will be available for purchase.
Trunk-or-Treat
The Halloween fun continues Thursday, Oct. 29, when the Margate Police Department hosts Trunk-or-Treat from 5 to 8 p.m. in the City Hall and Police Department parking lot, 5790 Margate Blvd.
Police will provide the candy, while city staff will decorate trunks for visitors to stop by and collect treats.
Participants are encouraged to wear costumes and bring their own bags or baskets.
