Conte’s Palm Aire Golf Academy celebrates its 29th anniversary this month, marking nearly three decades of delivering top-tier golf instruction to the South Florida community and beyond.
Founded in 1995 by husband-and-wife team Stephen and Michele Conte—residents of Coral Springs for the past 30 years—the Academy has become a household name in the local golf scene.
Michele, a Top 50 LPGA Teaching Professional, and Stephen, a PGA member for over 30 years, say they have guided over 30,000 lessons, helping approximately 1,000 students learn, improve, and enjoy the game of golf annually.Â
Located within the Palm Aire Country Club in Pompano Beach, Palm Aire Golf Academy has served students from Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties, as well as from out of state and abroad.Â
Michele tells Coral Springs Talk that reflecting on the couple’s time in South Florida has made them more thankful than ever for the community’s support.
“We are very honored and privileged to be celebrating the 29th year of our Golf Academy at Palm Aire Country Club,” said Michele. “We’ve been blessed to meet so many wonderful people on our lesson tee over the years, and we look forward to meeting many more in the future.”
The Academy has long offered various programs, including private lessons, group clinics, five-day golf schools, junior summer camps, and special events such as PGA Get Golf Ready and LPGA Golf 101 clinics.
Michele tells Coral Springs Talk that one of her proudest accomplishments in the Academy’s history is overseeing programs such as the six-week PGA HOPE Veterans Clinics, annually serving around 25 military veterans.
“It’s incredibly rewarding knowing that we’ve helped so many people learn this game and improve their skills while receiving instruction from some of the most qualified LPGA and PGA Teaching Professionals around.”Â

Michele adds programs like First Tee for juniors and programs that involve veterans from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard through the PGA HOPE clinics are part of what drives her and her husband most to continue the legacy of their clinics into a third decade.Â
“It’s a small way for us to give back and thank them for all they’ve done for our freedom.”
As the Academy celebrates its anniversary, they are offering a special promotion for October: $29 off one-hour private lessons for anyone who brings in this article.
Unfortunately, plans for a sizeable 29th-anniversary celebration and golf tournament were postponed due to upcoming Palm Aire Country Club changes. Michele confirmed to Coral Springs Talk that the Academy will likely change its location at the end of November.Â
Despite the move, Michele reassured the community that the Academy’s commitment to excellence will remain unchanged.
“No matter where we teach, all of our students will follow us because we love them, and we know they love us.” Michele added, “As we enter our 30th year, our goal is to continue providing the best, most qualified golf instruction in a warm, welcoming environment that makes everyone feel like family.”Â
“Teaching golf is not what I do—it’s who I am.”
