Monarch High School celebrated another historic signing day as 10 student-athletes officially committed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Nine of the signees came from the Knights football program, bringing the total number of Monarch seniors who have signed to 14. Those previously signed include Jabari Brady, Jaboree Riggins, Lorvens Barthelemy, and Christian Davis.
Jayden Joselin signed to play football at Western Carolina University. A four-year varsity player, Joselin showed steady improvement throughout his career and finished his senior season with 87 tackles. He totaled 263 career tackles, four interceptions, and three sacks. During his time with the program, the Knights won the district championship all four years and compiled 34 total wins, including five postseason victories.
“It feels amazing,” Joselin said. “I prayed for this moment. After countless hours of work and times when I was doubted, I still made it happen at such a high level.”
Wallace McIntosh and Trent McIntosh both signed with Ottawa University. The two were part of one of the most dominant receiving groups in the state. Wallace finished his senior season with 12 receptions for 142 yards and a touchdown. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown against West Broward High School in the playoffs. Trent added five receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown in five games as a senior.
