“Sonic the Hedgehog 2,” the sequel to 2020’s “Sonic the Hedgehog,” is the City of Margate’s free movie in the park for February.
The action-adventure comedy film is inspired by the iconic video game series. Directed by Jeff Fowler, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 features Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, and Idris Elba, among others.
The film continues to follow Sonic’s adventures after settling in Green Hills. Sonic’s evil enemy Doctor Robotnik has returned, along with a new rival, Knuckles the Echidna.
The event is held on Saturday, February 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, located at 1695 Banks Road. The city recommends bringing blankets or lawn chairs to sit on and something to snack on while watching.
