The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between September 8 and September 14, 2026.
Incidents
Burglary Conveyance
A vehicle burglary was reported on Sunflower Drive at approximately 8:10 a.m. on Sept. 8. The estimated loss was $1,200.
Retail Theft
A retail theft involving merchandise valued at approximately $204 was reported at a business at 5555 West Atlantic Boulevard on Sept. 8.
A second retail theft involving merchandise valued at approximately $117 was reported at the same location on Sept. 8.
Walgreens at 3000 North State Road 7 reported the theft of approximately $590 in merchandise on Sept. 9.
A theft of merchandise valued at approximately $4 was reported at the Chevron gas station at 5789 Margate Boulevard on Sept. 9.
Harbor Freight Tools at 5365 West Atlantic Boulevard reported the theft of approximately $809 in merchandise on Sept. 11.
Walgreens at 3000 North State Road 7 reported the theft of approximately $12 in merchandise on Sept. 13.
Publix at 7230 West Atlantic Boulevard reported the theft of approximately $333 in merchandise on Sept. 14.
A second retail theft involving approximately $28 in merchandise was reported at the same Publix on Sept. 14.
Battery
A battery was reported near Northwest Seventh Street on Sept. 8.
Another battery was reported at 2450 North State Road 7 on Sept. 8.
A battery was reported near Northwest 23rd Street on Sept. 9.
Another battery was reported near Northwest 72nd Avenue on Sept. 9.
A battery reportedly occurred near West Atlantic Boulevard between Sept. 9 and Sept. 10.
Violation of Court Order
A court order violation was reported near Northwest 62nd Avenue on Sept. 8. The incident reportedly occurred on Sept. 5.
Elderly Abuse or Neglect
A case involving alleged elderly abuse or neglect was reported near Holiday Springs Boulevard on Sept. 8.
Fraud
A fraud involving an estimated loss of $5,446 was reported at 2333 North State Road 7 on Sept. 9.
A fraud involving an estimated loss of $10,500 was reported near Northwest 24th Street on Sept. 11.
Another fraud was reported near Northwest 27th Street on Sept. 11.
A credit card or ATM fraud involving an estimated loss of $2,000 was reported at 5590 West Sample Road on Sept. 12.
Another credit card or ATM fraud involving an estimated loss of $2,599 was reported near Northwest 30th Court on Sept. 12.
A fraud involving an estimated loss of $400 was reported at 7150 West Atlantic Boulevard on Sept. 13.
Theft
A theft involving an estimated loss of $160 was reported near Lake Circle Drive on Sept. 11.
Gators Auto Glass reported the theft of about $200 in property from 6428 Northwest 28th Lane. The theft reportedly occurred between Sept. 7 and Sept. 10 and was reported Sept. 11.
A theft involving an estimated loss of $201,283 was reported near Northwest 20th Street on Sept. 12. The theft reportedly occurred between Sept. 5 and Sept. 7.
Another theft was reported near Northwest 18th Street on Sept. 14.
Criminal Mischief
Broward County Transit reported criminal mischief at 255 North State Road 7 on Sept. 11.
Threats or Intimidation
Threats or intimidation were reported near Southwest Seventh Street on Sept. 11. The incidents reportedly occurred between Sept. 7 and Sept. 11.
Arrests
Amos Marshall Cole, 71, was arrested on a battery charge near Northwest Seventh Street on Sept. 8.
John Alcide, 45, was arrested on a theft charge at 5555 West Atlantic Boulevard on Sept. 8.
Kenneth James Keehner, 54, was arrested on a charge of violating an injunction for protection near Northwest 62nd Avenue on Sept. 8.
Kevin Curtis Orion, 45, was arrested on a theft charge at 5555 West Atlantic Boulevard on Sept. 8.
Matthew Bryant Thorpe, 31, was arrested on a charge of violating a domestic violence injunction near Southwest 61st Terrace on Sept. 8.
Benson Saint Remy, 40, was arrested on a dating violence battery charge near Northwest 23rd Street on Sept. 9.
Robyn Michelle Kandibovich, 46, was arrested on a felony charge of battery on a person 65 or older near Northwest 80th Avenue on Sept. 9.
Sophia Lorraine Lacy, 45, was arrested on a felony warrant at 6000 Northwest Seventh Street on Sept. 9.
Jonathan Richard Brown, 30, was arrested on a dating violence battery charge near Northwest 72nd Avenue on Sept. 9.
Robert Roy Henion, 47, was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony at 650 North State Road 7 on Sept. 10.
Sage Maykalah Trim, 21, was arrested on a domestic violence battery charge near Northwest Second Street on Sept. 10.
Candy Rosnick J. Grant, 40, was arrested on a probation violation charge at 650 North State Road 7 on Sept. 10.
Shaina Melonie Odekeye, 35, was arrested on a domestic violence battery charge near Northwest Second Street on Sept. 10.
Gianni Ronald Vielot, 32, was arrested on a felony warrant involving elderly abuse near Banks Road on Sept. 10.
Ralph Pierro, 56, was arrested on a charge of resisting an officer without violence at 200 Rock Island Road on Sept. 10.
Igor Pavlo, 47, was arrested on a charge of resisting an officer without violence at 655 Southwest 50th Avenue on Sept. 10.
Chyle Nicholas Jordan, 30, was arrested on a felony charge of child abuse without great bodily harm near Margate Boulevard on Sept. 12.
Sydney Allyn Seperis, 31, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence at 5600 West Atlantic Boulevard on Sept. 13.
