A Message from the Mayor:
As we welcome September and begin the transition from summer to fall, I find myself reflecting on what makes Margate such a special place to call home. It isn’t just our parks, our neighborhoods, our businesses, or the services our city provides. What truly makes Margate great is our people.
Every day, residents, families, teachers, first responders, city employees, volunteers, and local organizations contribute in their own way to making our community stronger. Whether it’s a neighbor helping another neighbor, a volunteer giving their time, a parent getting involved at their child’s school, or residents coming together for a community event. These everyday acts are what create the sense of community we are proud to have in Margate.
As Mayor, one of the things I value most is seeing our residents come together. We may not always agree on every issue, and that’s okay. A strong community is one where people can have different perspectives while still sharing a common commitment to making our city better. When we listen to one another, look out for one another, and work together, we accomplish so much more.
Margate is a city where families grow, children make memories, neighbors become friends, and generations build their lives. My goal is to continue helping create a community where people feel safe, welcome, included, and proud to call Margate home.
Our city motto says it best: “Together We Make It Great.” Those aren’t simply words on a sign or a city logo. They represent who we are and what we can accomplish when we work together.
Thank you to everyone who gives their time, energy, and heart to our community. I am proud to serve as your Mayor, and I look forward to everything we can accomplish together.
