Margate residents will see new parking lots replacing existing ones at the Calypso Cove Aquatics facility and Firefighters Park.
During the February 19 meeting, the commission agreed to a resolution approving parking lot improvements to both locations for $198,900 with an additional 15 percent contingency, for a total of $228,680. The contract is with Janice Riley, Inc., which does business as The Paving Lady.
The work involves removing and disposing of all the asphalt and car stops and placing new asphalt and car stops at both sites. The parking lots will be restriped.
Calypso Cove is at 6200 Royal Palm Blvd, and Firefighters Park is at 2500 Rock Island Road.
