Kevin Austin Jr. {Paul Miller}
By: Matt Rothman
Kevin Austin Jr., a 2018 North Broward Prep graduate, is officially a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars after the 2022 NFL Draft.
In his final two years with the North Broward Prep varsity football team, Austin recorded 76 receptions for 1,782 yards and 23 touchdowns before playing four seasons at Notre Dame.
He caught nine passes for 90 yards in his freshman year before being suspended his sophomore season for violating team rules. After suffering a fractured foot, Austin then missed most of 2020 before leading the team in yards and touchdowns to help Notre Dame complete an 11-2 season.
Austin will be joining a wide recovering core that already had a talented trio in Christian Kirk, Marvin Jones Jr., and Zay Jones. The Jaguars finished 2021 with a record of 2-15 and had the first pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
