The Woodlands is home to such a variety of birds that I never tire of the constant bird parade that visits my back yard.  It seems like every season brings with it different species.   Some live down here full-time, but others are passing through on their way to warmer or cooler parts of the world.

Here is an interesting bird that has been visiting our home this month.   He likes to perch on the branches of our large ficus tree that hangs over the canal.
