The Monarch High School football team had another player announce his commitment with Adin Lin heading to Clarke University in Iowa.
He becomes the third offensive lineman from this team to commit, joining Holden Zeltner and Melvin Puckett.
“It feels great to be committed and great to know that I get to play at the next level,” Lin said.
Lin only began playing football during his freshman year and spent all four years with Monarch. During those years, the Knights won back-to-back District Championships and recorded their first Regional Title in school history in 2023. He helped protect quarterbacks AJ Hairston, Jaeden Phillips, and Jack Spaeder, who threw for over 4,400 yards while their running backs ran for 2,253 yards.
When looking where to play in college, he wanted to find a school with the right coaching staff that was coached well and had the program he was interested in. His main goal was never to give up, make his family proud, and prove the doubters wrong. Before going to college, Lin hopes to get bigger and stronger to become a better athlete. This past season, Clarke University went 3-8 with wins over Central Methodist, Culver Stockton, and Peru State.
