Monarch High School’s Lorvens Barthelemy has officially committed to playing college football at Akron University.
Barthelemy began playing football at the age of nine with the Deerfield Packer Rattlers, alongside the Pompano Cowboys and Lauderhill Lions. He is playing in his senior year for a team that has won three straight District Championships and have recorded 27 wins in the last three years
This season, Monarch is 4-3 as Barthelemy is blocking for one of the top quarterbacks in Florida, Florentino Lopez. As a team, the Knights have passed for 2,157 yards and also run for 926 yards while he will go on to play for South Florida native and former Miami Hurricane Center Joel Rodriguez.
