
International Festival {City of Margate}
Get ready to take your taste buds, dancing feet, and adventurous spirit on a trip around the world—without ever leaving Margate!
The City of Margate is set to host its annual International Day Festival on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, located at 1695 Banks Road.
This free event allows attendees to immerse themselves in diverse cultures through interactive activities, live performances, and international cuisine.
The festival will feature hands-on activities for all ages, including dance lessons, games worldwide, and arts and crafts stations. Various food vendors will provide culinary delights from different cultures available for purchase. The entertainment lineup includes:
- 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.: DJ Ivan with international-themed music
- 4:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Martial arts demonstration by Barrett Hapkido
- 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Performance by reggae band Big Harvest
- 6:00 p.m. – 6:20 p.m.: Japanese drumming by Fushu Daiko
- 6:30 p.m. – 6:40 p.m.: Bollywood dance by Champ Chameli Dance Academy
- 6:50 p.m. – 7:10 p.m.: Salsa and Bachata demonstration by FAU Ballroom Dance Group
- 7:15 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: Martial arts showcase by FKA Martial Arts
- 7:40 p.m. – 7:55 p.m.: Capoeira demonstration by Capo Rocks
- 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: Performance by a Latin/Cuban band (to be announced)
The festival also includes a Dessert Passport Adventure, allowing attendees to sample sweets from various cultures. Interactive dance lessons and art creation stations will enable participants to engage directly with different cultural traditions.
