Mayor Antonio V. Arserio, the community group Margate Neighbors, and several local partners will host a Community Giveback event on May 30 to improve outdoor areas at Margate Kids Academy.
The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday, May 30, is being organized by Arserio and Margate Neighbors, led by Nina Culver, in partnership with Lowe’s and the Margate Fire Benevolent Association.
Volunteers will help clean, rebuild, and landscape portions of the school’s property, including improvements to the playground and surrounding outdoor areas.
“Margate has always been a city that comes together to help one another,” Arserio said in a statement. “This project is about giving back to our children and investing in spaces that bring families and the community together. When neighbors, businesses, and volunteers unite, we can make a real and lasting difference.”
Culver said in a statement that the event highlights the impact community partnerships can have on local families.
“Margate Neighbors is proud to be part of an effort that directly impacts children and families in our community,” Culver said. “This event shows the power of teamwork and what can be accomplished when people come together with a shared purpose to help others.”
Organizers are seeking additional volunteers to assist with the project. Residents interested in participating can email aarserio@margatefl.com for more information or to sign up.
Margate Kids Academy serves students from VPK to grade 3 and is located at 200 S State Road 7 in Margate.
