No more seasonal flowers that have to be replaced each year. Soon all of our entrances will have a new look.
If you haven’t noticed yet, all of our entrances are getting a landscape makeover.
According to WHOA President Patti Fox, our entrances have had the same type of seasonal flowers and plants in them for years. With the help of retired Landscape Architect, Ron Wilson of Section Seven, we should soon have a new look as well as see continuity at all of our entrances.
Wilson is the Landscape Committee Chairperson and has drawn up an environmentally sound landscape plan for our community. The variety and type of plants will save the city and the residents on the cost of water and maintenance.
The grass has been killed in preparation for the new plants at the Commercial Boulevard entrance. Fox wants to make sure that all the residents are aware of what will be happening so they don’t think that the entrances have been neglected.
“It won’t be instantaneous. I hope people understand that,” said Fox.
Work at the Sago Palm entrance will commence after the Commercial Boulevard entrance is finished. Fox says that the White Oak entrance has already been completed.
After that, the landscaping will be redone along Woodlands Boulevard with the same type of plants.
Both Wilson and Fox are working closely with Prestige Landscaping throughout the whole job. “We are very happy to be working with Prestige,” said Fox, “they have done such a great job.”
