Dear Neighbor:
Benjamin Kanarek and Sharon Aron Baron are running to be your Democratic Party Precinct Committeeman and Committeewoman for the Woodlands Precinct J016. They are volunteers who want to make a difference by talking with Democrats in our neighborhood about issues of concern and why it is so critical to get out and vote.
2010 was the worst turnout for a gubernatorial election in at least 12 years here in Broward County. Only one other county in the state posted a worse turnout than Broward, where only 40 percent of registered voters went to the polls. Can we count on you voting in the primary on August 14th?
What is a Precinct Captain?
A Democratic Precinct Captain is the direct link between the party and the voters in their neighborhood precinct. The Captain helps register voters, informs voters about issues and candidates, get out the vote, elect the Broward Democratic Party leadership, and are members of the Broward Democratic Executive Committee. They are volunteers elected by the voters in their precinct in the primary elections every four years.
