Cookies for the Military {GSSEF}
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida has kicked off its 18th annual Cookies for the Military program, inviting the community to donate Girl Scout cookies to U.S. service members stationed at home and abroad.
The 2026 goal is to collect 50,000 boxes of cookies. During last year’s campaign, donors contributed 44,947 boxes. Since the program began in 2009, Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida has shipped more than 858,000 boxes to troops through partnerships with organizations including Forgotten Soldiers, Operation Homefront, American Legion, and Soldiers’ Angels.
“Cookies for the Military is a meaningful way for our Girl Scouts and the community to express appreciation for the men and women who serve our country,” said Lisa Johnson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. “For our service members, these cookies represent more than a familiar treat — they’re a reminder that they are supported, valued, and remembered.”
Community members can participate by purchasing a $6 box or a $72 case through a local Girl Scout or online at cookiesforthemilitary.org. Proceeds also support Girl Scouts’ leadership development efforts, helping girls build skills in financial literacy, goal-setting, and customer service.
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida serves more than 6,900 girls ages 5 to 17 across Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties.
