After winning a District Championship in 2021, the Monarch High School girls flag football team started the season 2-0.
The Knights had wins against Blanche Ely and Coral Springs High School, outscoring their opponents 38-7. However, they dropped two straight games for the first time in two seasons. Those losses came against Pembroke Pines Charter and St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
Next, Monarch will be back on the field on Tuesday, March 29, against Western High School at 4:30 p.m. This year, the Wildcats are 3-0, with wins over Spanish River, McArthur, and Dillard High School. They have also outscored their opponents 102-13.
