Luciana Oliveira and her husband, Gilberto Nunes, have fulfilled their dream by owning Bagel Time & Bakery Cafe, a thriving restaurant in Margate that serves breakfast and lunch.
They bought the existing Bagel Time earlier this year and have worked hard to make it a successful restaurant. Luciana, from Brazil, grew up in the restaurant industry and has extensive experience.
“My family operated restaurants in Brazil, and when I was a child, I helped my mother prepare food. My mother loved to cook, and I learned from her. I have always enjoyed baking,” she said.
Luciana said a bagel sandwich with bacon, eggs, and cheese is the most popular offering. Bagel Time also offers a variety of sandwiches and omelets and a pleasant atmosphere for breakfast or lunch.
They plan a grand opening celebration at noon on Thursday, August 29.
Bagel Time & Bakery is open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays. It is located at the Town Shoppes of Margate, 2470 North State Road 7.
