Margate will soon get a new Dunkin’ Donuts location.
During the May 6 meeting, the commission approved a resolution granting a special exception for a Dunkin’ that will offer only drive-through service.
It will be located within the Gateway zoning district at 5300 Coconut Creek Parkway.
The owner, Mike Patel, said, “We are looking forward to opening a drive-through Dunkin’ in Margate. Our business will have 600 square feet, and we hope to be open in two or three months. In addition to providing new job opportunities, we aim to contribute to the economic activity along Coconut Creek Parkway.”
Vice Mayor Anthony Caggiano said he was glad the new Dunkin’ will be coming to Margate. “I don’t want to see empty space there, and I think this will be food for the city.”
Commissioner Tommy Ruzzano said he wants to see more businesses opening and wants Dunkin’ to be successful.
Dunkin’ Donuts has another location in Margate at 5000 W. Atlantic Blvd.
