The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between May 5 and May 11, 2026.

Incidents

A battery was reported on Lakeside Drive on May 5. The estimated loss was $1,000.

HomeGoods, 3320 N.W. 62nd Ave., was the victim of a retail theft on May 6. The estimated loss was $529.

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital, 2801 N. State Road 7, reported a theft from a building on May 7. The estimated loss was $60,000.

Spanky’s Cheesesteak Factory, 309 N. State Road 7, reported a theft on May 7. The estimated loss was $80.

A burglary conveyance was reported on West Atlantic Boulevard on May 8. The estimated loss was $1.

A threats/intimidation incident was reported on Southwest 62nd Avenue on May 8.

Harbor Freight Tools, 5365 W. Atlantic Blvd., reported a retail theft on May 10. The estimated loss was $1,099.

A fraud identity theft incident was reported on Northwest 29th Street on May 10. The estimated loss was $1,770.

A theft was reported on Winfield Boulevard on May 10. The estimated loss was $500.

A kidnapping/false imprisonment incident was reported near Northwest 65th Avenue and Northwest 18th Street on May 10.

The City of Margate reported a theft on May 11 at 5600 W. Sample Road. The estimated loss was $2,037.

A fraud incident was reported on Buena Vista Drive on May 11. The estimated loss was $6,028.

Arrests

Brandon Tavares Jackson, 35, was arrested on a charge of larceny-petit from a farmer, second or subsequent conviction, on May 5 at 700 S. State Road 7.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of battery-cause bodily harm/domestic violence on May 5 on Lakeside Drive.

Jerry Dureus, 31, was arrested on a charge of DUI alcohol or drugs second offense on May 5 at 400 S. State Road 7.

Kimberly Irene Williams, 31, was arrested on a felony warrant charge on May 5 at 2700 N. State Road 7.

Rnest F. Augustin, 33, was arrested on a charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle on May 5 at 1000 Margate Blvd.

Maynor J. Melendez Mendoza, 40, was arrested on a charge of DUI alcohol or drugs second offense on May 6 at 200 N. State Road 7.

Omar Alexander Alas, 47, was arrested on a charge of DUI alcohol or drugs first offense on May 6 at 5700 W. Atlantic Blvd.

Gesner Magloire, 59, was arrested on a charge of grand theft between $750 and $5,000 on May 6 at 127 N.W. 60th Ave.

Jordan Kenneth White, 32, was arrested on a charge of resisting an officer without violence on May 7 at 3400 Pinewalk Drive North.

Andrea Nikole Mendez, 46, was arrested on a domestic violence battery charge on May 7 on Northwest 64th Avenue.

Karla Mariana Acosta Rodriguez, 37, was arrested on a charge of DUI alcohol or drugs first offense on May 9 at 2099 N. State Road 7/Copans Road.

Bernadet Grand-Pierre, 31, was arrested on a felony charge of kidnapping-false imprisonment of an adult or child under 13 on May 10 near Northwest 65th Avenue and Northwest 18th Street.

Noel George Martin, 28, was arrested on a warrant charge on May 11 at 5681 W. Atlantic Blvd.
