Margate is planning a Memorial Day ceremony to honor those who gave their lives while serving in the military.
The ceremony will feature patriotic music, a keynote speaker, an address by Mayor Antonio Arserio, and readings of winning essays by local elementary school students. Refreshments will be served, according to Lisa Huriash, public information officer.
The event will be 9 a.m. on Monday, May 25, at Veterans Memorial Park, 7044 NW 1st Street, Margate.
